I’ve finished uploading the site to the new host and have uploaded my tables for the archive and it looks good so far. *squees* I love when things WORK. I made a test review on one of my stories and I received the email notification. So I think that little problem is indeed fixed by the move.

Notice the site is still in Maintenance Mode. It will be for a little while longer. If you have been checking the Psychfic URL periodically, you noticed when the site went from Maintenance Mode, to an error page, and now back to Maintenance Mode. That error page between Modes was the transition time to the new DNS of our new home.

Next I will be uploading the tables for the Community Forum. *runs off*

The Waiting Room

The move has begun. The first part of this process will be backing up the site and the forum. This will take all day today.

I’ll continue to keep you informed.

Some of you have been able to access Psychfic, and some not. The reason for this is that those that can now access the site have ISPs that have updated their DNS addresses. So, for those of you not yet able to access the site, it is only a matter of waiting for the DNS change to propagate.

I, for instance, still cannot access the site by the URL, but I can access it by the direct IP and my hosting username. Now, I’d give this info to you all, but I don’t think that would be a good idea.

So, it just comes down to waiting. And patience, as they say, is a virtue. Many don’t possess it, including me :P, but we have no other choice.

I want to thank you for all of your continued support on this matter. You are the best web friends a person can have. *hugs*

I have abandoned the attempt to move the site and have directed my nameservers back to my original host. Once that propagates through the internet, HOPEFULLY Psychfic will  be back up.

*crosses fingers*

Psychfic is currently down, but I am still able to access my control panel, so I am taking the opportunity to begin the move to a new server. As the site eventually comes back online with my old host, Psychfic will immediately enter Maintenance mode, a link being provided to this blog.

The move will hopefully be complete by Monday, barring any complications. I will keep you up to date via the Psychfic Office as the move progresses.

Hello and welcome to the Psychfic Office. The purpose of this blog? Well, Psych has their Psych Office where they do their business…. if what Shawn and Gus do in that office is considered work. Paper basketball, anyone? Back to the point, they have an office and now, so does Psychfic.

The purpose of this blog is to give Psychfic visitors a place to go to when Psychfic is down. I will post here what is going on with the site, why the site is down and what is being done to remedy the situation.
